Kingston Funerals was established in 1996 by Bob Newbould whose sole purpose was to assist and support families to properly celebrate and farewell their loved ones.
How did Bob start out in the funeral industry?
Bob started his professional life straight out of University as a taxi driver, which was good fun back in the day. Then, one thing led to another and in 1990 he found himself in the funeral industry.
This was a great move! Overnight he had become a social historian because funeral directing is about a person’s life and storytelling.
He started with a big corporate funeral director, this is where he learned all he could about the industry and how to use empathy to provide a premium funeral service to grieving families. Ensuring their loved one is properly honoured and farewelled.
Now, almost 30 years later, he is still enjoying the funeral industry and the service he and his team provide to many families around Melbourne.

Over the years, families throughout Melbourne have appreciated the unique level of care offered by Kingston Funerals and so we continue to offer personalised funerals at fair and competitive prices.
Bob continues in his role as Managing Director and continues to work with families in his role as an in-house Celebrant.
